Former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif was attacked by the workers of Pakistan Tehreek Insaf (PTI) party of PM Imran Khan in London. The attack took place on Saturday, just a day before the no-confidence motion of Pakistan’s Imran Khan’s government.
Just a day before the vote on the no-confidence motion in Pakistan, a shocking attempt to attack former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took place in London. Some youths tried to attack the former prime minister outside his London office. In the midst of this incident, a bodyguard of Nawaz was injured after being hit by a miscreant.
Here, Pakistan’s Prime Minister Imran Khan will face the crucial vote on the no-confidence motion presented against him on Sunday. A day before this, Imran Khan on Saturday appealed to the youth of the country to conduct a peaceful protest against the “foreign conspiracy” allegedly hatched against his government, but he also said that they should not criticize the Pakistan Army.
Khan said during a live Q&A session that he has more than one plan for Sunday’s vote on the no-confidence motion moved in the National Assembly. Terming it as a ‘war for the future of the country’, Khan said that Pakistan is standing at a critical juncture. He said, we can take two routes. Do we want to take the path of destruction or the path of glory? There will be difficulties on this (glory’s) path, but it is the path of our Prophet. This is the way to our well being. This path brought revolution in this country.
The Prime Minister said that the politics of Pakistan has reached a point where the people of the country will have to take a decision. He said, a society which stands with honesty and justice gets new life, but when the society becomes neutral, it starts supporting evil. Also Read | Who is Shehbaz Sharif? Khan said, “At present there is a conspiracy going on against the government and it has been proved that politicians are being bought like goats to topple the government.” He said that this conspiracy was hatched abroad and some leaders of Pakistan are helping these people. He said, “History never forgets them and I want that the history of Pakistan also does not forget these traitors.” This is your responsibility. Don’t let them feel like you’ve forgotten.
“Official documents say if you remove Imran Khan, your relations with America will improve,” Khan said. He said that he would take legal action against those who betrayed the nation. Khan told the youth, I want you to come out and protest today and tomorrow. Go out for peaceful demonstrations. Read Also | Imran Khan Loses Majority in Pakistan, MQM withdrew its support
The Prime Minister said that there are two things that have kept the country united. The first thing, he said, is Pakistan’s army. It is a strong and professional army. This is important for the country, because many countries are trying to harm Pakistan. The second thing is PTI (Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf), because it is a party that has kept the country united. He said, we need this army. He has sacrificed for us. I want you not to criticize the army. Read Also | Imran Khan Massive Rally in Islamabad likely announce his Resign of PM
Khan also dismissed reports of differences with the army. The prime minister claimed that the political crisis created against him was the result of his desire to have an independent foreign policy for Pakistan.
