Electricity Minister V Senthilbalaji has said that a balanced power supply will be provided in Tamil Nadu.
In Tamil Nadu, the public has been severely affected by the unannounced power outage at night. Explaining the power outage yesterday, Minister Senthil Balaji said that an agreement had been reached with two companies to procure 4 lakh 80 thousand tonnes of coal for the next two months. The minister also clarified that the coal contract was not awarded to Adani.
He assured that steps would be taken to rectify the power outages tomorrow and that there would be no talk of a power outage in Tamil Nadu in a day or two.

In his Twitter post, Minister Senthil Balaji said on his Twitter page that there was a shortage of power supply due to the non-availability of 796 MW of central power.

Minister Senthilpalaji said in his post that due to the taken action of Chief Minister MK Stalin, appropriate alternative arrangements have been made and power generation in the state has been increased, thereby providing a balanced power supply from this evening.
