Nupur Sharma’s troubles increased, Kolkata Police issued lookout notice

Suspended BJP spokesperson Nupur Sharma , who has been in controversies after making a controversial statement against Prophet Mohammad, is getting increasingly difficult.

On Friday, the Supreme Court had reprimanded him and asked him to apologize to the country by going on TV, holding him responsible for the incidents happening in the country.

After this, now the Kolkata Police has issued a lookout notice to him for ignoring the summons sent earlier.

Nupur was summoned by Kolkata Police

After the case was registered in the Prophet dispute case, the Amherst Street police station of Kolkata had summoned her and asked her to appear on June 20, but she did not reach.

She had sent an email to the police saying that she could be attacked if she reached Kolkata. He had sought four weeks’ time to appear before the police officials.

Similarly, she did not appear on the summons issued by Narkeldanga police.

Police has now issued lookout notice

In the case of ignoring Nupur’s summons, now the Amherst Street Police Station has issued a lookout notice to her.

The police officer said that Nupur did not appear before the officers despite being summoned twice each by the Amherst Street and Narkeldanga police station. In such a situation, now a lookout notice has been issued to them.

Now Nupur’s trouble has increased and she will have to appear before Kolkata Police .

What is Lookout Notice?

Rajasthan’s Additional Inspector General of Police (DIG) Anshuman Bhomia told Newsbytes Hindi that the issuance of a lookout notice (LOC) is meant to restrain a criminal or fugitive from leaving the country. Such notices are mostly issued for immigration checkpoints and ports.

He said that by issuing this notice, the person concerned is banned from leaving the country by air or sea.

Controversy escalated after Nupur Sharma’s remarks

Let us inform that on May 27, Nupur Sharma had made a controversial remark on Prophet Mohammad in a TV debate.

After that violence broke out in many states including Uttar Pradesh and became the biggest issue on social media in Gulf countries.

As the controversy escalated, the BJP suspended Nupur from the party. Even after this, the matter did not calm down, many cases have also been registered against Nupur in 15 states of the country.

Supreme Court has made strict remarks

Nupur had filed a petition in the Supreme Court to transfer the cases registered against her in various states to Delhi, but on Friday, the court asked her to move the high court first.

Apart from this, the Supreme Court commented that this woman alone is responsible for what is happening in the country. His remarks showed his obstinate and cocky character. He should go on TV and apologize to the whole country.
