New Delhi: A fire broke out in a guest hall near the Ashok Vihar area of north-west Delhi at around 5.40 pm today.
Police and 10 fire engines rushed to the spot and put out the fire.
One person trapped in the fire has been rescued unconscious. Harish Chopra, 30, who was rushed to the hospital for treatment, is undergoing intensive treatment. Atlantis Banquet Hall has declared the staff member has died.
Delhi Fire Service Director Atul Garg said one dies, were reported as no event was held in the hall at the time of the fire.

Authorities are also investigating the cause of the blaze, which is being extinguished.
