New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will release a special series of coins of Rs 1, 2, 5, 10 and Rs 20, launching the Iconic Week Celebrations of the Ministry of Finance and Corporate Affairs on Monday, 6 June 2022. Blind people will be able to identify this special series of coins easily.
The PM will launch the Iconic Week celebrations at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi at around 10.30 am, the PMO said in a statement.
PM will also inaugurate digital exhibition
The Prime Minister will inaugurate a digital display showcasing the journey of the two ministries over the past eight years. The Prime Minister will release a special series of coins of 1, 2, 5, 10 and 20 rupees. Under this series, these coins will have the logo of AKAM.
The special series of these coins will have the theme of the logo of AKAM and will be easily recognized by the blind, the PMO said in a statement. From June 6 to 11, 2022, this week is being celebrated under ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’.
Jan Samarth Portal will also be launched, it will be easy to take loan
Apart from the special series of coins, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also launch the Jan Samarth Portal. The PMO said that all types of credit based government schemes will be linked to the Jan Samarth portal. It will be the first platform in India to directly connect beneficiaries and lenders. This portal will promote inclusive growth and progress of various sectors.
Inclusive growth will be encouraged
According to the statement, the main objective of Jan Samarth Portal is to promote inclusive growth by providing right kind of government benefits to various sectors through guidance and simple digital processes. This portal ensures end to end coverage of all linked schemes.
The event will be held simultaneously at 75 locations across the country and each location will be connected to the main venue in virtual mode.
