Prashant Kishor likely to join alliance with Congress for Election 2024

Sources in the Congress upper house say that the party leadership has asked Prasanth Kishore, an expert of election strategists, to join the party and act as a responsible person instead of a consultant.

According to Congress leaders, Prashant Kishore may have talked to Sonia Gandhi about the party’s weaknesses and what needs to be done about its progress ahead of the party’s focus on winning 370 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections in India.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting between Prashant Kishore and Sonia Gandhi, senior party leader K.C. Venugopal said a small committee would be set up to look into advancing the ideas put forward by Brand Kishore for the development of the Congress.

When asked by reporters whether Prashant Kishore had been asked to join the Congress party, Venugopal said, “Everything will be answered in a week.”

During a meeting with Sonia Gandhi, Congress sources said Kishore had suggested that the Congress should contest the Lok Sabha elections separately in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Odisha and form alliances in Tamil Nadu, West Bengal and Maharashtra.
