Prashant Kishor refused to join the Congress party

Prashant Kishore recently held consultations with Sonia Gandhi, the interim leader of the Congress party and senior leaders of the party.

New Delhi: Congress general secretary Randeep Surjewala has said that election strategist Prashant Kishor has refused to join the party.

‘Following the election strategy presentation and consultations with Prashant Kishore, the party leader formed the Empowered Working Committee for 2024.

As part of that group, invited Prashant Kishor to join the party. But, he refused. We appreciate his efforts and the advice he has given to the party, “said Randeep Surjewala.

Prashant Kishor recently held consultations with Sonia Gandhi, the interim leader of the Congress party and senior leaders of the party. Prashant Kishor presented the draft plans for the Assembly elections that will bring the Congress party back from the brink and for the Congress to win the 2024 Parliamentary elections.

Prashant Kishor was then expected to join the Congress. Some within the party opposed the inclusion of Prashant Kishor in Congress.

Under these circumstances, Prashant Kishor has given up his desire to join the Congress.
