The process of application for Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) conducted by the Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education (RBSE) for the recruitment of teachers is over.
More than 16 lakh candidates have applied to appear in REET.
The application process for this recruitment drive lasted from 18 April to 24 May. Now today i.e. from 25 to 27 May, candidates can make corrections in their application forms.
How many posts will be recruited?
According to TV9 Bharatvarsh , a total of 16,44,246 candidates have registered for REET Level-1 and Level 2.
In this 3,86,508 candidates have applied for Level-1 exam while 12,57,738 candidates have applied for Level-2 exam.
Through this examination 15,000 posts of Level-1 and 31,500 posts of Level-2 will be filled. Teachers will be recruited in primary level schools under Level-1 and secondary level schools under Level-2.
When will REET be conducted?
REET will be conducted on July 23 and 24 and admit cards will be issued on July 14.
Candidates clearing Paper-I (Level-2) will be eligible to teach classes VI to VIII, while those who clear Paper-II (Level-I) will be eligible to teach for classes I to V.
The examination for Paper-I will be conducted from 10 am to 12.30 pm and Paper-II will be conducted from 3 pm to 5.30 pm.
300 marks exam
Level-I exam will be conducted for teaching students of classes I to Class V (primary teacher) and Level-II exam will be conducted for teaching students of classes VI to Class VIII (upper primary teacher).
Both the papers will be of 300 marks and you will get 2.5 hours to complete them.
Candidates should note that for each wrong answer, 1/3rd mark will be deducted as negative marking.
What will be the syllabus for Level-1 exam?
Level-1 exam will have 90 marks from Geographical, Historical and Cultural Knowledge of Rajasthan, General Knowledge, Educational Scenario, Free and Compulsory Child Education Act and Current Affairs.
There will be 10 marks each from Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Knowledge and Social Studies under school subject and eight marks each from Hindi, English, Mathematics, General Science and Social Studies under Academic Methodology.
20 marks will be asked from Educational Psychology and 10 marks from Information Technology.
What will be the syllabus for Level-2 exam?
As per the syllabus released for Level-2 exam, it will have 70 marks questions from Geographical, Historical and Cultural Knowledge of Rajasthan.
There will be questions of 60 marks related to General Knowledge, Educational Scenario, Free and Compulsory Child Education Act and Current Affairs related to Rajasthan , while there will be questions of 120 marks for the concerned school subject.
Apart from this, there will be 20 marks from Academic Methodology, 20 marks from Educational Psychology and 10 marks from Information Technology.
