Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad seized 775 crore rupees worth of heroin from a house in Uttar Pradesh as drugs were seized. Strict measures are being taken to curb drug smuggling from Pakistan to Gujarat by sea.
Last week, nine Pakistanis were arrested for smuggling heroin worth Rs 280 crore. Following this, on the 27th, Gujarat Anti-Terrorist Squad arrested 4 persons in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Razi Haider Zaidi from Delhi is considered a key figure in the heroin smuggling.
Special forces have seized 155 kg of heroin from his sister’s house in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, while he was in jail.
Internationally, its value is said to be 775 crore rupees. 55 kg of chemicals suspected to be raw materials for making drugs were also seized.
According to the Special Forces, Raji Haider Jaiti had been working to kill heroin smuggled into the sea.
