Sanjay Raut’s reaction has come to the fore over the language controversy and Tamil Nadu Education Minister’s remark that ‘Hindi speaking people sell pani puri in Coimbatore’. “I request Union Home Minister Amit Shah to make one country, one legislation, one language. Everyone should respect the language,” Raut said.
On Friday, Tamil Nadu Higher Education Minister K Ponmudi faced a lot of criticism after he made a statement that “Hindi speaking people sell pani puri in Coimbatore”. However, he also presented a clarification regarding this statement.
Ponmudi says it was said in reference to the lack of jobs in the northern states. Ponmudi’s remarks came amid outrage in Tamil Nadu over the Centre’s alleged plan to introduce Hindi as a third language in schools.

When the Tamil Nadu minister was criticized for his statement on Hindi speaking people, the minister said that he made this statement because there is no work available in the northern states.

Talking to news agency ANI, K Ponmudi said that various persons from Tamil Nadu work in the northern states. I said in the sense that different people from the north come here and work because there is no work available in the northern states.

At the convocation ceremony of a university in Coimbatore, Ponmudi took a dig at those who insist on providing jobs for Hindi learners in the state.
