Chennai: The issue related to the death of a girl student who studied at Kaniyamoor Sakthi Matric Higher Secondary School near Chinnasalem in Kallakurichi district has created a stir in Tamil Nadu. While the school administrators have said that the student committed suicide, the student’s parents have accused it of murder.
In this case, the school education department has ordered an investigation into the death of the schoolgirl. An order has been issued to the District Principal Education Officer to conduct an investigation and submit a report at the place where the girl’s death took place.
The school administration has explained that the Plus 2 student died after jumping down from the floor on July 13. However, her family and relatives are accusing the student of being suspicious in her death. Meanwhile, his relatives have been engaged in a continuous protest for the past 4 days, and today it has turned into a riot.
Violent protesters entered the school and set fire to more than 50 school vehicles. Also, the mob and the police broke the barricades and engaged in violence on the Chennai-Salem highway. They attacked the police with stone pelting. Police vehicles were set on fire. Due to this, the police fired in the sky to control the situation.
In this case, the post-mortem report of the student revealed that there were injuries on the body of the student. And all the injuries are stated to have occurred before his death.
It is said that there were injuries especially on the nose, right shoulder, right arm, stomach and upper abdomen. Bone fracture and haemorrhage are said to have occurred. It is also said that there were blood stains on his top, leg shirt, upper and lower underwear.
The report also stated that the left side of the head was fractured. The report ultimately states that the student died of excessive bleeding and shock. However, it is said that only after the report of chemical analysis of the internal organs, the full details of the death of the student will be known.
In this case, the situation in Kallakurichi is sad. After the ongoing police investigation into the student’s death, the culprits will surely be punished.
I have ordered the Home Secretary and the Director General of Police to go to Kallakurichi. The Chief Minister also appealed to the public to maintain peace and trust in the government’s actions.
