A Sakthi International private school is operating in the village of Kaniyamoor, near Kallakurichi. In this school, a 17-year-old girl from Periyanesalur village in Cuddalore district studies in class 12 at the school hostel. The student is reported to have committed suicide by jumping from the school’s shelter on the night of July 13.
