TN Govt Announces Parantur Airport Land Owners will get 3.5 Times Compensation and Payment for New Construction

Chennai: Minister EV Velu has said that the people who will be given land to build Parantur Airport will be given land and money to build houses along with three and a half times compensation.

13 villagers were asked for their opinion regarding the construction of Parantur Airport. In this regard, Ministers EV Velu, Thangam Thennarasu and Thamo Anbarasan jointly met the press at the Chief Secretariat in Chennai. Speaking at that time, Minister EV Velu said that many of the 13 villagers have asked for additional compensation and employment.

After this, he said that all those who provide a place will be given three-and-a-half times the amount of compensation, as well as an alternative place to build a house and a separate money for it. Minister Velu also mentioned that no one should believe the false information being published in this regard.

And farmers need to add value to their land. They have made demands to provide employment. There is a situation where agricultural land has to be taken while implementing such projects. The villagers of Ekanagathapuram and Parantur requested whether a runway can be constructed.

We need another airport when compared to other states. The government has decided to pay 3.5 times to those providing space for Parantur airport. For the people who are given land, land and money to build houses will be provided by the government. People will be allocated space in one place as per their preference.

In the surrounding areas where the airport is located, land will be provided wherever people want. The government is also going to provide the people of the area with house building site, house building money and compensation money for the land.

The general objective is to build an airport. When the airport is set up nearby, the cargo traffic will increase foreign exchange and the revenue of the Tamil Nadu government can increase. A total of 1005 houses in 13 villages are to be acquired for the airport. Minister E. V. Velu said that the people directly expressed their demands including providing alternative houses.
