Press Information Bureau (PIB) Fact Check: If you have also come across such a viral message where it has been claimed that you will be paid money and monthly rent in lieu of installing a mobile tower, then be careful.
For many days, this news is going viral on social media that mobile towers are being installed by the government to promote WiFi network under Digital India. It has been claimed in this that for this you will have to pay a registration charge of Rs 730. After which this process will be started.
But the Press Information Bureau of the Government of India, PIB has told the truth of this viral message by tweeting from its official Twitter account. PIB told through its fact check that no such scheme or approval letter is being issued by the government.
Will You Get Paid for Tower Installation?
This viral message states that “This letter has been sent from your mobile (Wi-Fi) network Digital India. You are informed that your place in your Gram Sabha is under (Wi-Fi Digital India) network. By the survey team that place has been checked (frequency) after checking.
The place is near in your name. This has been done keeping in mind the security point of view and the network of other companies. You are hereby informed that the place where (Wi-Fi network) will be charged Rs 25000/ per month as the rent of the place, 30 lakhs as advance of the company and 20 years court agreement and a person is given a job as a permanent employee whose Rs 25000 is given every month.

Their qualification is mandatory to be 10th pass. The installment will be increased by some percentage every year. You will have to deposit the application fee (Rs.730/-) which is non-refundable. Therefore, you are requested to take these things seriously and get the work started. If any dispute arises at the time of starting the work on the land, the work will be stopped there. The work is started within 96 hours of the applicant depositing the application fee.
