Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy is about to address the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday. During this, he will talk about the attack by Russia and the killing of civilians in Ukraine.
On Monday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said mass graves had been found in the city of Bucha after it was liberated from Russian military occupation. Dead bodies of people have been found. At least 300 civilians have been killed. He said the casualties could also increase in Borodanka and other cities.
“I want to emphasize that we are interested in the most complete, transparent investigation possible. The results of which will be known and explained to the entire international community,” Zelensky said in his video address of the night.
Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said on Tuesday that Russia should have no place in the UN Human Rights Council.
A statement from the Pentagon said that, “It is very clear not only to us but to the world that the Russian military is responsible for the atrocities in Bucha, Ukraine.” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby made this statement at a news briefing.
Germany has expelled 40 Russian envoys over the killings in Ukraine’s Bucha and said it was preparing for next steps with allies.
