In Ladakh, a vehicle carrying soldiers capsized in the Shyok river. Seven soldiers were killed in the accident Turtuk of Leh District.
A military spokesman said:
The vehicle was carrying 26 soldiers on a border security mission from a makeshift camp in Bardarpur.
The vehicle was traveling about 25 km from Dois area at around 9 am when it overturned headlong into the Shyok river, stumbling off the road.
Seven soldiers were killed when an army vehicle overturned in the river, which was 50 feet to 60 feet deep. The remaining players were injured.
Injured soldiers are being treated in intensive care. ”

Accident occurred when 26 soldiers were moving from Partapur Transit Camp to a forward location in Sub Sector Hanif in Turtuk Sector. Vehicle skid off from the road and fell in Shyok river.
