Video went viral on social media

Delhi Police personnel were seen assaulting Indian Youth Congress (IYC) chief Srinivas Biwi during a protest on Tuesday. The video also shows a cop grabbing Srinivas by the hair and forcing him into a vehicle during the protest. Srinivas was seen shouting and resisting the police’s attempt to control him. The video of this incident went viral on social media.

The Congress leader told the media,”I have been killed.” The Youth Congress leader asked,”Why are you people killing?” To this an RAF jawan replied, “Nobody is killing you.”

After this Srinivas tweeted,”In independent India, if Congress workers cannot even come outside their own AICC headquarters, then what is democracy?? Why is the dictator so afraid??”

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi along with several party leaders were detained by the Delhi Police on Tuesday during a protest at Vijay Chowk and the march of MPs to Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Rahul Gandhi was taken to the Sansad Marg police station after being detained during a protest march from Parliament to Vijay Chowk.

Congress leaders held nationwide protests against the alleged misuse of central investigative agencies against opposition leaders. The second round of questioning of Sonia Gandhi in the National Herald case took place on Tuesday.
