Yamaha has launched the new-generation variant of the MT15 motorcycle in India. It has been named Yamaha MT15 V2.0. This sports bike is based on the R15 V4, which was launched in September 2021. The bookings for the MT-15 V2.0 started earlier this month. Now the sale of motorcycles has also started.
Design of Yamaha MT15 v2.0
The 2022 Yamaha MT15 comes in four color options – Cyan Storm (New), Racing Blue (New), Ice Fluo-Vermillion and Metallic Black. All other updates on the bike are similar to its sibling R15 V4. The front suspension unit of the 2022 Yamaha MT-15 includes inverted forks. These have been updated with a golden finish, which gives the bike a premium look.
The braking hardware of the new MT15 bike consists of 282mm disc at the front and 220mm disc at the rear. The stability and handling of the new model have also improved. The bike gets 17-inch alloy wheels like the previous model.

The new Yamaha bike gets a digital LCD instrument console, which plays a custom animated welcome message every time the ignition is turned on. It also gets Bluetooth-enabled connectivity via the Wi-Connect app. Features such as smartphone notifications (text, call, email, phone battery), parking location, fuel details and maintenance recommendations are also available on the new Yamaha MT15.
Yamaha MT15 v2.0 Price
Yamaha MT-15 v2.0 has been launched at a starting price of Rs 1.60 lakh. This price is as per ex-showroom, Delhi. The new bike is Rs 13,000 more expensive than the old model. This motorcycle will compete with the KTM 125 Duke and TVS Apache RTR160 4V.
