Bangalore: Southwest monsoon is prevailing in the state of Karnataka. The capital, Bangalore, has been experiencing heavy rains for the past few days.
The rains flooded more than a thousand houses in areas including Sai Lay-out, SR Lay-out and Gayatri Lay-out in KR Puram. In the Singapore area, the canal has broken and houses have been surrounded by rainwater.
Similarly, the bank of the lake in the village of Kalkere near KR Puram broke and water seeped into the flats.
The capital Bangalore has been inundated with low-lying areas due to heavy rains for the past four days. Heavy rains lashed Ron in Kathak district last night.
As a result, various villages in Ron taluka were inundated. The floodwaters had receded yesterday.
At this point the government bus went to Idaki village near Ron. Then the bus got stuck in the flood that flooded the village. The bus got stuck in a roadside ditch.
Passengers on the bus were stunned not knowing what to do as more water flooded the area.

Upon learning of this, Ron police and firefighters rescued 22 people, including 6 female passengers and 2 children, from the bus.
