Budgam Encounter Terrorist killed Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat, 3 Lashkar militants killed by security forces in encounter

Budgam Encounter: Kashmir's ADGP Vijay Kumar had told that three Lashkar terrorists, including wanted terrorist Latif Rather, were surrounded at the encounter site, later all three terrorists were killed.

Budgam Encounter: Three Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) terrorists were killed in an encounter with security forces in Budgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Wednesday. Police gave this information. Two of these three terrorists were also involved in the killing of Kashmiri Pandits in the Valley.

Police said the security forces launched a cordon and search operation at Waterhole in Khansahib area in the district after receiving information about the presence of militants there. The search operation turned into an encounter when the terrorists started firing on the security forces.

Kashmir’s Additional Director General of Police (Kashmir Division) Vijay Kumar tweeted,”Three hiding terrorists of Lashkar have been neutralised. Bodies are being retrieved from the site of the incident, whose identity is yet to be found. Incriminating material, arms and ammunition- Gunpowder was recovered. A big success for us.”

Earlier, Vijay Kumar had told that three Lashkar terrorists, including wanted terrorist Latif Rather, have been surrounded at the encounter site. Terrorists are involved in the killing of several civilians including Latif, Rahul Bhat and Amrin Bhat,” Kumar tweeted. Kashmir ADGP Vijay Kumar said Rather was involved in several terror incidents including several civilian killings and atrocities.

Actually Rahul Bhatt was shot and killed on 12 May. Since then, Kashmiri Pandit employees have been continuously protesting demanding transfer outside the valley. Bhatt had got the job of a clerk under the special employment package for displaced Kashmiri Pandits and was killed by terrorists after barging into the tehsil office in Chadoora village of Budgam district. Since then, Kashmiri Pandits employed under the Prime Minister’s package have been demanding justice.
