Hijab Ban Case Karnataka High Court to Pronounce Verdict on March 15

The Karnataka High Court will issue an interim order on Tuesday at 10.30 AM in a case related to the hijab. The order was passed by Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Justices JM Khazi and Krishna Dixit.

The Karnataka High Court will issue an interim order March 15 in a case related to the hijab. The order was passed by Chief Justice Rituraj Awasthi, Justices JM Khazi and Krishna Dixit. Some of the Islamic students studying at the Government PU College in Udupi, Karnataka were wearing hijab on their uniforms.

This was banned by the college administration. The Islamic students staged a series of protests against the ban, followed by Muslim students at various colleges demanding that they be allowed to wear the hijab.

Consequently, the wearing of hijab in Karnataka educational institutions was banned. The affair caused great turmoil across India. Some students wore saffron and spoke out against the hijab struggle. Thus the issue caused great tension throughout the state of Karnataka. Meanwhile, Udupi Muslim students have filed a case in the Karnataka High Court against the ban on wearing the hijab. The case was heard by Chief Justice Ritu Raj Awasthi, Justices JM Khazi and Krishna Dixit.

The Karnataka High Court, which heard the case, issued an interim order barring students from wearing religious symbols inside schools and colleges. Further, the case is being heard in court. The case was heard for 11 consecutive days last month before a bench headed by Chief Justice Rithuraj Awasthi.

The BJP-led Karnataka government has ordered the closure of schools for a few days due to the escalation of violence between pro-Hijab supporters and right-wing organizations across the state over the issue.

The Karnataka High Court is scheduled to rule March 15 on a case related to the hijab. Thus, the current situation in Karnataka is tense. As a result, all kinds of protests, celebrations and gatherings in public places in Bangalore, Karnataka will be banned from Tuesday.
