India’s first private train Sai Sadan Xpress started from Tamil Nadu. India’s first private train service from Coimbatore to Shirdi was flagged off.
The train, operated under the Bharat Gaurav scheme, can carry 1,500 passengers at a time. Indian Railways has leased the train to a private service company for 2 years. This train will run three times a month.
1500 passengers can travel
The train will leave Coimbatore Railway Station at 6 pm on Tuesday (June 14, 2022) and reach Sai Nagar at Shirdi at 7.25 am on Thursday. Of this, 1,500 can travel at a time, said P Kuganesan, chief public relations officer of the Southern Railway.
P Kuganesan said the train was leased to a service provider for two years. Private service provider has upgraded the seats of Indian Railways.
This train will run at least three trips a month. There are a total of 20 compartments, including first, second and third class AC compartments and sleeper coaches.
The train stops at these stations
The train will stop at Tirupur, Erode, Salem Jolarpettai, Bangalore Yelahanka, Dharmavara, Mantralayam Road and Wadi railway stations.
After reaching Shirdi, the train will take a day break. The train will leave Sainagar on Friday and reach Coimbatore at 12 noon on Saturdays.
VIP facility available
It is a wonder that the ticket prices of this train are equivalent to the regular train fare charged by Indian Railways. Passengers traveling on this train can have a special VIP darshan at the Shirdi Sai Baba Temple.
Vegetarian Foods
The train is maintained by housekeeping service providers who take care of cleanliness during the journey. Traditional vegetarian dishes will be served on the train.
Railway police soldiers, a train captain, a doctor and private security guards will travel on the train.
