Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Tuesday that Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia can be arrested in two to three days. The Deputy CM of Delhi is facing the investigation of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) in the excise policy of the national capital.
“Looking at the enthusiasm of the youth in Gujarat, it seems that Sisodia can be arrested in two to three days instead of ten days,” Kejriwal said.
These days Arvind Kejriwal is on a tour of the BJP-ruled state, where assembly elections are to be held by the end of the year. He was speaking at a town hall program in Bhavnagar. Sisodia, who was present at the event, said that the CBI action is being taken against him only in view of the increasing enthusiasm among the people of Gujarat to support the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Gujarat. The central agency had last week raided Sisodia’s house in connection with alleged irregularities in the Delhi Excise Policy.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Delhi Chief Minister alleged that the Mahavyapam scam has happened in Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-ruled Gujarat and thequestion papers of the state government’s recruitment examinations have been leaked over the years. He promised that if the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) comes to power in the state assembly elections later this year , a law against question paper leaks will be enacted, with a provision of 10 years in jail.
“Has anyone gone to jail for question paper leak? They will now go to jail (when AAP’s government will be formed),” Kejriwal said at a ‘town hall’ meeting with youth in Bhavnagar on the second day of his two-day visit to Gujarat. I had Vyapam scam. Mahavyapam scam is going on in Gujarat.” The Vyapam scam was an entrance examination and recruitment scam that surfaced in Madhya Pradesh in 2013.
