IPL Qualifier 1 Gujarat Vs Rajasthan: The Gujarat Titans, who are coming off a champion-like performance in the latest IPL season, were dusted off in the qualifier-1 match as well. Rajasthan chased down the target of 189 with three balls to spare.

Gujarat needed 16 runs in the last over to win … Miller made the first 3 balls of the famous over in six overs. Gujarat beat Rajasthan by 7 wickets to advance to the final.

The Gujarat Titans, who came into the ring to hit a huge target, faced a tough setback early on. Opener Wriddiman Saha joined the pavilion without opening an account. But at no point after that was Rajasthan able to hold Gujarat. David Miller hit 5 sixes and 3 fours and scored 68 off just 38 balls. Gujarat won the toss and elected to field with 3 balls to spare.

Gujarat captain Hardik Pandya added 40 (27) for Miller. Shubham Gill 35, Matthew Wade 35 Rajasthan bowlers Trent Boult and Obed McCoy took four wickets.

Earlier, Rajasthan Royals, who won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 188 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs. Jose Butler was the top scorer for Rajasthan with 89 (56) with 2 sixes and 12 fours. Captain Sanju Samson scored 47 (26) with 3 sixes and 5 fours. Of the other batsmen, none other than Devat Padikkal (28) scored significantly.

Gujarat bowlers Mohammad Shami, Hardik Pandya, Sai Kishore and Yash Dayal took wickets. Although bowler Rashid Khan did not take a wicket, he gave only 15 runs in 4 overs.

With the win in this match, the Gujarat Titans advanced to the IPL final. The losing Rajasthan Royals will play a qualifier-2 match. If Rajasthan wins the match, the two teams will meet again in the final.

The qualifier 2 match will be played on May 27. Earlier, the eliminator match between Lucknow and Bangalore will be played on May 25. The winning team will face Rajasthan in Qualifier 2.
