The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced the Indian squad for the Asia Cup 2022. Rohit Sharma is set to lead the Indian team for the tournament, which is scheduled to begin in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on August 27 this year. The final of the 2022 Asia Cup will be held on September 11 in Dubai.
Team India will begin this year’s Asia Cup with a clash against arch-rivals Pakistan on August 28. India’s last defeat was against Pakistan in the 2021 ICC T20 World Cup.

Everyone was eagerly waiting when BCCI will announce the Indian squad for this year’s Asia Cup. Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the squad due to a back injury. KL Rahul has been appointed as the vice-captain of the Indian cricket team in the 2022 Asia Cup. Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik are two wicket keepers in the team.

The Super 4 stage of the tournament will begin on September 3 and the final will be held on September 11 in Dubai. This year’s Asia Cup is being held in the 20-over format and two venues, Dubai and Sharjah, have been finalized to host the tournament. Indian team has won most titles (7) in Asia Cup. The Sri Lankan team is at the 2nd position with 5 titles.
