The first e-auction of the Indian Premier League (IPL) media rights concluded on June 14, with Star India buying the TV rights for the next five years for Rs 23,575 crore. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced this.
On the other hand, Viacom18 has bought the digital rights with a bid of Rs 23,758 crore.

The auction was conducted in four distinct packages.
Package A: Rs 23,575 crore. 57.5 crores per match (star)
Package B: Rs 20,500 crore. 50 cr per match (Viacom)
Package C: Rs 3,258 crore | 33.24 cr per match (Viacom)
Package D: Rs 1,057 crore. 26 crores per match (Viacom and Times Internet)
