18 Children, 1 Teacher Killed Gun Shoot Uvalde, Texas High School

The incident in which 18 children were killed in a shooting at a Texas elementary school has come as a huge shock.

Washington: Fifteen people, including 18 children, have been killed in a shooting at an elementary school in the US state of Texas.

In connection with this, the governor of the state of Uvalde said 18 students and a teacher were brutally shot dead at a school in Wolde, 85 miles west of San Antonio.

The shooter was an 18-year-old man. He reportedly shot dead 18 students and 1 teacher, and the shooter was killed in a retaliatory attack by authorities.

The injured children were taken to nearby hospitals, police said.

Uvalde Memorial Hospital posted on Facebook that 13 children were taken to the hospital by ambulance or bus.

The Facebook post previously said that two “individuals” had died upon arrival at the hospital. They are now planning to organize an “emergency blood donation drive” on Wednesday.

Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin told ABC News in a text message that “this is a very bad situation.”

According to CBS, the FBI is helping with the investigation.

White House officials say they have briefed US President Joe Biden about the attack and are expected to comment later on Tuesday. Biden also ordered that flags be flown at half-mast at the White House and other US federal buildings in memory of Wold victims.

The last day of school for students in the school district was scheduled for Thursday. Seniors will graduate Friday from a local high school in Uvalde, a community of about 16,000 people.
