Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani on Monday resigned as the director of Reliance Jio. With this, he has handed over the reins of the company to his elder son Akash Ambani.
The company’s board has also approved the appointment of non-executive director Akash Ambani as the chairman of the board of directors in an important meeting. The company has given this information to the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI).
Pankaj Mohan became the Managing Director of the company
It has been said on behalf of the company that in the board meeting held on June 27, it has been approved to appoint Akash Ambani as the chairman of the board and Pankaj Mohan Pawar as the managing director for the next five years.
Similarly, Raminder Singh Gujral and KV Choudhary have been appointed as directors for five years. The appointment of all these will be considered effective from June 27, 2022. Mukesh Ambani has resigned on June 27.
