Australia has to tour Sri Lanka in June this year , where ODI, T20 and Test series will be played between the two countries

Australia has to tour Sri Lanka in June this year, where ODI, T20 and Test series will be played between the two countries. All three teams of Australia have been announced for this tour.

Fast bowler Pat Cummins has been rested from the T20I series. On the other hand, spin bowler Adam Zampa is not available for the entire tour due to personal reasons.

Australia declared strong team for T20 and ODI series

Australia has declared its strong team for ODI and T20 series.

Glenn Maxwell, Matthew Wade, Steven Smith, Mitchell Marsh, Josh Hazlewood, Mitchell Starc, David Warner, Jhye Richardson and Kane Richardson were not part of the limited overs series against Pakistan but have all made a comeback during the Sri Lanka tour.

Of these, Kane, Jhye and Wade have got a chance only in the T20 team while all the other players have been selected in both the ODI and T20 teams.

Marcus Harris and Mark Stekete have been dropped from the Test squad. Both these players were part of the Australian squad in the Pakistan round but were not selected in the playing XI in a single match.

The ODI and T20I series between Australia and Sri Lanka will be played in Colombo and Kandy. At the same time, the Test series will be played in Galle.

1st ODI : 14 June.

2nd ODI : 16 June.

3rd ODI : 19 June.

Fourth ODI : June 21.

Fifth ODI : June 24.

First Test : 29 June to 3 July.

Second Test : 8 to 12 July.

Australia had suffered a crushing defeat in the Test series in the last tour

The last time the Australian team toured Sri Lanka was in 2016. The three-match Test series was clean sweep by the hosts Sri Lanka.

After that the five-match ODI series was won by Australia 4-1.

In the end, Australia had a clean sweep of the two-match T20 series. In that T20 series, Australia was captained by David Warner .
