BJP VCK Clash: Police injured in VCK BJP clash in Chennai

Chennai: A BJP member was injured in a clash between VCK and BJP in Chennai and the skull of a policeman was broken.

On the eve of Ambedkar’s birthday, all the political party leaders have been paying homage to the Ambedkar statue in the evening.

Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi leader Thirumavalavan arrived this morning in the evening to pay homage to the Ambedkar statue in Coimbatore.

Following Thirumavalavan’s departure, Union Home Minister L. Murugan and Tamil Nadu BJP leader Annamalai’s visit to Annamalai in the evening immediately prompted BJP volunteers to remove the flag and hoist the BJP flag.

This led to an argument between VCK and BJP volunteers and they turned into melees and took the stone lying on the ground and got involved in the clash. Three people, including BJP’s Harikrishnan and Senthil, suffered broken skulls in the clash. The skull of the guard who came to prevent this was also broken.

As a result, more than 50 BJP volunteers took to the streets to protest the immediate arrest of the Viduthalai Chiruthaigal Katchi. Coimbatore police are on a mission to appease the protesters

Due to this, the traffic in the area was disrupted. Both parties were appeased by the police and allowed to wear garlands to the statue separately. The BJP then dressed for the evening and left. The sudden commotion and confrontation between the two sides caused a stir in the area.
