CM KCR arrived to welcome the opposition’s presidential candidate instead of PM Modi, Smriti Irani said – this is an attack on the institution, not on the person

Hyderabad: The city of Nizams witnessed a ‘poster war’ between the ruling Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) in the state and the ruling BJP at the Centre, just ahead of the Bharatiya Janata Party’s (BJP) National Working Committee meeting.

In the midst of the BJP’s National Working Committee meeting, opposition candidate Yashwant Sinha also arrived here, and Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao (KCR) himself reached the airport along with several of his ministers to welcome him. He was given a grand welcome by TRS workers.

While Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in the capital on Saturday to attend the working committee meeting, Rao did not go to receive him. He sent one of his ministers for this.

Not only this, in view of the working committee meeting, BJP has covered the entire city with flags, posters and banners, while TRS has also taken an aggressive stand and put up posters and banners targeting Prime Minister Modi and BJP across the city. Many posters have directly targeted the Prime Minister by writing ‘Bye, Bye Modi’, ‘Ab Bas Karo’ and ‘Bahut Ho Gaya Modi’.

KCR’s behavior irked BJP leaders

Meanwhile, this behavior of TRS and Chief Minister Rao has gone unnoticed by the BJP leaders. He has strongly criticized this move of Chief Minister Rao and his party.

BJP leaders have targeted, saying that by adopting such tactics and showing power, Rao and TRS will neither be able to reduce the stature of Prime Minister Modi, nor will he be able to take him away from the hearts of the people.

Union Minister Smriti Irani hit out at Chief Minister Rao, saying that the Prime Minister meets everyone with respect, but the way the Chief Minister hasbehaved “unfortunately”today is a violation of constitutional as well as social dignity.”The chief minister has attacked the institution and not the individual,” he said.

At the same time, Etela Rajendra, who was once very close to Chief Minister Rao and a minister in his government, said that it was Rao’s old tactic that whenever any party stood against him, it would take any opportunity to insult him and his top leaders. Don’t miss Rajendra is now in BJP.
