Deepavali Festival Tamil Nadu Private Omni Bus Reservation 2022 Ticket Prices for AC, Non AC and Sleeper

Omni Bus Association has fixed the fare details as there are allegations that Omni Buses are charging high fares during the festive season.

Omni Bus Association has fixed the fare details as there are allegations that Omni Buses are charging high fares during the festive season. According to the Omni Bus Association, the public can check the fixed fare on the website www.aoboa.co.in and complain if Omni Buses charge more than the fixed fare.

All Omni Bus Owners Association President A. Anpahagan said in a statement, “Before the corona virus infection, a total of 4000 omni buses were operating in Tamil Nadu for inter-city transport and tourism. After the corona virus infection, only 1500 buses are operating in Tamil Nadu.

As for omni buses, there are seven types of buses namely Non AC Seater, AC Seater, Non AC Sleeper, AC Sleeper, Premium Sleeper, Volvo/Scania Multiaxle Seater, Volvo/Scania Multiaxle Sleeper. The fares on each route are fixed in line with the investment and operating costs of the buses operating in this manner. Normal buses range from 40 lakhs to luxury buses like Multi Volvo up to 1 crore 70 lakhs. Therefore it is not possible to fix the same fare for all types of buses on a route. Also Omni Buses do not have a mechanism to fix fares as per Motor Vehicle Rules.

Today in the world arena, in various countries like India, fares are determined by dynamic software for air, train, and bus transportation. When the demand is low, the fare is low and when the demand is high, the fare is high and the average fare is charged.

For India today, the same pattern is followed for road transport including air, rail and omnibuses.

A large number of travelers who are unable to use air transport in India are opting for omnibuses for their travel plans as omnibuses have the luxuries that they want.

Omni buses do not collect fares for carrying passengers. Passengers check the bus fares online before departure of the buses and book tickets according to their convenience. So passengers do not travel unwillingly. So no passengers are cheated.

However, in order not to give a bad name to the government and the industry, we have fixed the maximum fare for all the routes operated by omnibuses in collaboration with the associations. The fee details are given on the website www.aoboa.co.in. Action is being taken by the transport department authorities against the owners who charge more than this fee.

All owners are advised not to charge more than these charges in the coming festival seasons. During the last festival as well, as per the instructions of the Minister of Transport, action was taken against the buses that charged excessive fares through the Transport Department Officer.” had informed.
