New Delhi: Nurses at Delhi Aims Hospital went on strike on Saturday over various issues, including staff shortages.
Harish Kumar Kajla, president of the Nurses’ Association, has been suspended for leading a protest by a group of nurses and misbehaving with doctors.
At least 50 scheduled surgeries were canceled last Saturday at the Main Operation Theater as a result of a protest by a group of nurses over staff shortages. Following this, Harish Kumar Kajla was suspended yesterday.

All nurses are set to go on indefinite strike from today, condemning the suspension of AIIMS Nursing Officer and President of the Hospital Nurses Association Harish Kajla.
The Nurses’ Association has called for Kajla’s suspension to be revoked immediately.
