When the matter came to light, the temple development committee registered a case against the accused priests with the police, but after that the priests fled from the spot. Police is now looking for the accused.

A shocking case of fraud of more than 20 crores by the priests of the famous Sukshetra Deval Gangapura Dattatreya temple in the name of the temple by creating a fake website in Afzalpur in Kalaburagi district of Karnataka has come to light.

When the matter came to light, the temple development committee registered a case against the accused priests with the police, but after that the priests fled from the spot. Police is now looking for the accused.

The priests had made eight fake websites in the name of the temple

Police said that this temple situated on the river Gangapur attracts huge crowd of devotees from Karnataka, Maharashtra and Telangana . Most of the devotees donate to the temple through the official website of the temple www.devalganagapur.com (shridatttreyatemple.ghanagapur).

In view of this, seven priests of the temple removed the official website www.ghanagapurtemple.com and made seven other fake websites for the purpose of cheating.

After this, he started cheating devotees by taking donations through fake websites.
