The Indian women’s cricket team defeated Sri Lanka in the second consecutive T20I and took an unassailable 2-0 lead in the series. Batting first in the second match of the series, Sri Lanka scored 125/7 thanks to Vishmi Gunaratne (45).

Batting first, Gunaratne (45) and Chamari Atapattu (43) made an opening partnership of 87 runs for Sri Lanka. However, in the last six overs, India made a spectacular comeback to restrict Sri Lanka to a score of 125.
Chasing the score, India lost two wickets for 48, but Mandhana (39) and Harmanpreet Kaur (31 *) gave their team victory.
This was the 20th T20 International match between India and Sri Lanka. So far India has won 16 matches. Sri Lanka have won only three matches. The result of one match has not come out.
Harmanpreet becomes Indian with most T20 International runs
Indian captain Harmanpreet played a calm innings of 31 not out off 32 balls and held one end. Harmanpreet gave India victory by hitting two fours.
With this innings, Harmanpreet has scored 2,372 runs in T20 Internationals. She has overtaken former captain Mithali Raj (2,364) to become the highest run-scorer in T20 Internationals by the Indian batsman. She has become the seventh highest run-scorer in the world.
