Kia Motors has increased the price of its popular Kia Sonet SUV by up to Rs 34,000. This is the second addition to the Sonet model this year. The company has increased the price of this car due to increase in input cost.
Let us know that the company updated the Sonet in April. The SUV gets many features like side airbags with six airbags and tire pressure monitoring system.
How is the design of the Sonet?
Recently, Kia launched the new facelifted variant of the Sonet in two new colours, ‘Imperial Blue’ and ‘Sparkling Silver’. These include new LED headlights with sculpted hood, chrome-lined grille, wide air dam.
It also gets roof rails on the sides, blacked out aero-cut design, ORVMs, flared wheel arches and 16-inch alloy wheels. This car looks quite muscular in appearance.
The car comes in a total of four engine options
The Kia Sonet comes in a total of four engine options in India. First, it gets a 1.2-liter petrol engine, which generates 81.8hp power and 115Nm torque. At the same time, the 1.0 liter turbo petrol engine generates 118bhp power and 172Nm peak torque.
Along with this, the company also gives the option of diesel engine in it. The engine is mated to an automatic or manual gearbox to simplify transmission.
The car comes with these features
The special thing is that despite being in the lower segment, Kia has introduced this car with six airbags.
Talking about the features, safety features like Highline Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Electronic Stability Control, Vehicle Stability Measurement, Brake Assist, Hill Assist Control have been introduced in it.
It gets a 5-seater cabin with ventilated front seats, auto climate control, new sunroof, keyless entry, parking sensors and multifunctional steering wheel with cruise control.
What will be its cost?
Kia Sonet price in India is Rs 7.49 Lakh for base 1.2 HTI (Petrol). At the same time, its top 1.5 GTX+ AT (Diesel) model costs Rs 13.89 lakh (all prices, ex-showroom).
The Kia Sonet is being well-liked in the Indian market. Within just two years of its launch, Kia India has achieved the target of selling over 1.5 lakh units of the Sonet . This is the reason that the company has sold five lakh vehicles here in just three years. The company sells a total of five vehicles in the country including Kia Carens, Sonet and EV6.
