Kumbakonam: Nagarajan’s son Vigneswaran (34) hails from Aduthurai Ganjamettutheru in Thanjavur district. While he was staying at his grandmother Prema’s house in Mylamman Nagar, near Mayiladuthurai District Collector’s Office, he fell in love with a young graduate from the same area.
Since then, the woman has stopped dating Vigneswaran because of his actions. But even after that, Vigneswaran followed the girl and went to the girl’s house claiming to be in love with her and got into an argument.

After that, he tried to kidnap the girl on July 12. The young girl who escaped from him then filed a complaint with the Mayiladuthurai police. In this regard, the Mayiladuthurai police registered a case and searched for Vigneswaran for allegedly trespassing on the woman by breaking into her house and threatening to kill her.
In this case, on Tuesday night, Vigneswaran and more than 15 of his accomplices, who came in a Scorpio car and a two-wheeler armed with deadly weapons, entered the woman’s house and abducted her.
In this regard, the police led by Mayiladuthurai DSP Vasantraj immediately went to the spot and conducted an investigation and seized the CCTV footage from the house and searched for the people who kidnapped the woman. Police across the district were alerted.
