A case has been filed in the Madras High Court on behalf of The Legend Saravana Stores Productions seeking a ban on the posting of the film on unauthorized websites by government and private website service companies.

When the matter was heard before Judge Senthilkumar Ramamurthy, advocate Vijayan Subramaniam, appearing for the petitioner company, argued that since the film was made at a huge cost, publishing it on the website would cause huge loss. Secretly.

Following this, the judge ordered a ban on 1,262 websites and 29 website service providers as well as internet service companies from publishing The Legend movie illegally.
