Chennai: The Madras High Court has ordered that the First Information Report should be filed against the Vellore-headquartered IFS International Financial Service Company by Monday.
The victims are lamenting that Vellore-based IFS (International Finance Services) company cheated them of crores of rupees by promising high interest rates. Some of those who lost money reported to the police stations in their areas, but no action was taken by the police.

In this context, Karthik, a resident of KK Nagar, Chennai filed a petition in the High Court of Madras asking the police to take action against IFS Finance Company. Advocate Infant Dinesh appeared for Karthik.
The hearing on this petition took place in the presence of Justice Satish Kumar. Hearing the petition, Justice Satish Kumar ordered the Tamil Nadu Police to file a First Information Report against the concerned financial institution by next Monday (8.8.2022).
Advocate Infant Dinesh said, “Complainant Karthik alone has invested Rs 56 lakh in IFS Finance Company. According to Karthik, his family, relatives and friends have invested up to 18 crore rupees in the financial institution. But the finance company did not give the interest money as stated. The money invested is not returned. Even after reporting it to the police stations, no action was taken. That is why we filed a petition in court.
After hearing the petition, Judge Satish Kumar has ordered to register an FIR against the members of IFS Finance Company by the 8th. It is reported that not only the petitioner Karthik but also many others were deceived by the attractive advertisement of the financial institution.
In the petition filed in the court, DGP, Chennai Police Commissioner, T. Nagar, Chennai Central Crime Branch Deputy Commissioners, Economic Crime Branch SP, KK Nagar Crime Branch Inspector, Central Crime Branch Inspector have included 8 persons as respondents. So we hope the police will take action soon,” he said.
