Morgan was dismissed twice in the recent series

He was recently seen playing in the ODI series against Netherlands . In the first two matches of that series, Morgan was dismissed without opening an account, while in the third ODI he was not available due to a groin injury.

He has been able to score only two half-centuries in his last 28 international innings of ODI and T20 cricket.

Morgan has already indicated his retirement

“If I don’t think I’m good enough or I don’t think I can contribute to the team, I’ll retire,” Morgan told Sky Sports ahead of the series against the Netherlands .

Butler can become the next English captain
