Odisha Student Meghashree Padhan Died in Chennai Near Avadi Railway Station

The railway workers informed the railway guards after seeing the mysterious death of a young girl on the railway track near Aavadi with injuries on her head and face early in the morning.

Chennai: The police are investigating after the body of Meghashree Padhan, a student of IIT Madras, was found dead near Avadi near Chennai.

The police have received information that a young woman died mysteriously on the railway tracks near Avadi after sustaining injuries on her head and face. After this, the police arrived at the spot, recovered the body of the student and sent it to the government hospital for post-mortem.

The investigation revealed that the deceased was Meghashree Padhan from Odisha. It has been revealed that he has completed his M.Tech and Master’s (Phd) degrees in Delhi and is currently staying at the IIT Central Hostel in Adyar, Chennai and doing research studies for three months.
