New Delhi: The United Nations has declared June 21 as International Yoga Day. This was followed by the first UN summit in 2015. June 21 is International Yoga Day around the world.
Prime Minister Modi has a habit of practicing yoga with a large number of people on that day.
Yogasana performances have not been conducted due to corona restrictions for the last 2 years. This year marks the 75th Independence Day and it is planned to celebrate Yoga Day in a special way.
Accordingly, arrangements are being made for the participation of people from all walks of life during the Yoga Day at 75 important places in the country.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to join the people in a yoga session in Mysore, Karnataka.
Apart from this, the International Yoga Day ‘Countdown’ starts 25 days before June 21st. According to this, a Yoga Day program is scheduled to be held in Hyderabad on the 27th with the participation of 10 thousand people.
Steps have also been taken to conduct a series of online yoga exercises at Indian embassies in various countries during the Yoga Day.
The joint yoga series will be held in about 70 countries starting at 6 am local time. It will be attended by Union Ministers, film personalities, sportspersons, athletes, yoga experts and enthusiasts.
Central AYUSH Minister Sarbananda Sonowal has said that this will further enhance India’s international reputation.
