The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) came to power for the first time after winning a landslide victory in the Punjab Assembly elections. Bhagwant Mann was sworn in as the Chief Minister of Punjab on the 16th of this month at a grand ceremony held at Katkar Kalan, the native village of freedom fighter Bhagwant Mann.
During the Aam Aadmi Party campaigns, various promises were made to the youth, including employment and regularization of the work of contract employees.
In this context, the new announcement comes just days after Bhagwant Mann announced the filling of 25,000 vacancies in government departments.
Accordingly, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has said that the work of 35,000 employees working under contract in Punjab government departments will be regularized.
