Trichy Minor murdered for not accepting love proposal, stabbed 14 times

In Trichy, Tamil Nadu , a man killed a minor girl by stabbing him 14 times with a knife. According to the police, the girl’s fault was that she refused to accept the 22-year-old accused’s proposal of love. The age of the girl is said to be 16 years.

Police have identified the accused person as Keswan. He is being searched.

Where does the victim live?

The victim is a resident of Athikulam in Trichy. She was on her way to meet her relative after finishing her 11th examination on the day of the incident, when the accused stopped her near the railway overpass.

Keswan was allegedly following the victim. A relative of the victim told that a case is already registered against Keswan for kidnapping Padita under the POCSO Act.

The day the victim was stabbed, the accused told the girl that he was in love with her.

But when the girl refused to accept his proposal, the boy got angry and attacked the girl with a knife.

Until the victim called someone for help, the accused attacked her 14 times with a knife. Thereafter he fled from the spot.

Passengers got hospitalized

When the passengers standing near the railway overpass saw the girl falling down, the girl was covered in blood, after which they immediately admitted the girl to a nearby hospital. The condition of the girl is said to be critical and she is undergoing treatment.

According to the police, accused Keswan is a resident of Pothamettupatti in Trichy. Police is searching for the accused.

What is POCSO Act?

The full name of POCSO Act is Protection of Children from Sexual Offenses Act .

It was introduced in the year 2012 to fix punishment for different offenses against sexual abuse of children.

The law provides protection to minors and children against offenses such as molestation , rape and other misdemeanors.

If a person rapes a child up to 12 years of age, then there is a provision of death penalty in the law.
