1G, 2G, 3G, 4G, 5G and 6G Technologies how change the world History Explained

3G and 4G bands already in use, 5G service lancuhed in China, America and many also will be launched soon in many countries

New Delhi: Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Sunday successfully tested 5G service for the first time in India at the IIT Chennai campus.

The 3G and 4G spectrum already available in India, 5G service will be launched soon. On the 17th, Prime Minister Modi recently announced that the framework for testing locally made 5G devices was coming into operation.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a target to work towards improving 6G technology in the country by the end of this decade.

1G to 5G

The Internet in India was launched in 1995. Since then the internet world has been growing very fast every day.

In just 27 years, India’s internet speed is now reaching 5G. With this, India has started to step towards 6G.

From 1G to 5G, the Internet has made people’s lives easier. Has accelerated technological development. Let’s understand what each ‘G’ means to the Internet.

1G to 2G: Emphasis on voice calling

Most 1G services were introduced in Japan in the 1970s. With the help of first generation technology, only voice calling was possible. The sound quality was poor and the coverage area was very low.

Plus there is no roaming facility. After the advent of 2G in 1991, the Internet world gained momentum. In the second generation, analog signals were completely converted to digital format.

People got roaming facility through 2G. Apart from this, things like CDMA and GSM also came into use for the first time.

There was also the facility of sending SMS and MMS at a speed of about 50 Kbps. Gradually both voice calling and internet speed started to improve.

Introduction to 3G

When the 3G Internet was introduced in 2001, the Internet became much easier. It was said that 3G would be four times faster than 2G.

Due to the speed and accessibility of the internet, facilities like email, video calling, navigation maps, browsing the internet and listening to music on mobile phones became available.

4G speed is the new way of showing the world

Even in the era of 3G internet, it was very difficult to use internet in areas with weak network. After the advent of 4G in 2010, the Internet became easier for everyone.

High speed, high quality and good voice calling and Data services have become manifold better. Its speed is five to seven times faster than 3G.

The internet we use today is mostly 4G. With the speed of the internet, watching live videos, booking a taxi, ordering food and making video calls have become commonplace.

Because of this, the Internet is becoming increasingly popular and cheaper than ever before, making it accessible to the general public.

Facilities available in 5G

The latency delay on 4G service is 50 milliseconds, while on 5G the delay is only 1 millisecond. Delay refers to the time it takes for data to travel from one point to another. With the help of 5G technology the power demand in the devices will definitely decrease. Thus multiplying the device and battery life manifold.

5G not only increases download speed but also offers many benefits. With the development of cellular bandwidth, high speed and low latency, the Internet world will gain astonishing speed.

The world surrounded by the internet

In the coming years smart cities will be built all over the world, automated cars, robotic surgery etc. will become ubiquitous. 5G has been launched around the world in countries like South Korea, USA and China. May start soon in India too.

Even before the introduction of 5G, the debate over 6G had begun. It is said that in the future, the Internet will not be limited to devices such as mobiles and computers.

In the future, machines along with humans will make full use of the Internet. In the future, technologies such as virtual reality, augmented reality and HD mobile holograms will dominate. This will require high speed internet.
