Facebook is testing a new feature, you will be able to create five profiles from one account

The new feature is currently in the testing phase and will help users to create up to five different profiles from a single account. However, the timeline related to its official rollout has not been revealed yet.

Meta platforms will soon give users the option to create multiple profiles with the help of a single Facebook account. With this change, the company wants to increase the activity of users on social networks.

The new feature is currently in the testing phase and will help users to create up to five different profiles from a single account. However, the timeline related to its official rollout has not been revealed yet.

Each profile will have its own separate feed

During the test, some Facebook members are getting the option to create up to four additional profiles in addition to the existing ones. Not every profile requires their real name or identity.

For example, users can create one profile for friends and another for co-workers, and these profiles will have their own separate feeds. However, users will get the option to like or comment on posts from only one main profile.

Efforts to increase engagement on the platform

Meta ‘s attempt to increase engagement on the world’s largest social network is showing slow growth, especially among younger users.

Facebook has been offering the option of multiple profiles in the past too, but it was limited. Let us tell you, public figures or companies are already getting the facility to manage multiple profiles simultaneously.

The company also gives users the opportunity to create separate profiles for dating or college.

Student profiles were launched in the year 2020

While launching student profiles in the year 2020, the company had said that users will be able to better connect with others according to their preferences and they will get a different experience from the main social feed.

With multiple profiles, Facebook hopes that users will be able to create an identity related to their choice. For example, there will be different profiles for interests like gaming, travel or food.

Keep in mind, all these profiles must comply with Facebook’s content policy.

The method of active user counts will not change

The social media company has made it clear that due to the test, the method of counting its monthly or daily active users will not change.

The company will not count different profiles as separate users, so that transparency is maintained during the earnings report.

The change related to multiple profiles is currently in the testing phase and only select users in countries other than the US are getting the benefit. The company has not confirmed its rollout.

It will also be easier to manage Facebook groups

The company is also going to give a better option to organize and access Facebook groups soon.

Both group admins and users will get the benefit of the new features and they will be shown the options related to it in the new sidebar.

With the sidebar visible in the Facebook app, it’s easy to join, leave, and stay updated with groups. In the sidebar, users will be shown a list of all the groups they are a part of.

Facebook is also working on a feature called ‘Bonusage’. This feature can give creators the option of earning with the help of reels videos. If leaks are to be believed, initially only selected creators will be paid for uploading new reels.
