ISRO preparing to send humans to space, space tourism will get a boost

With the new technology, the institute will be able to send ordinary citizens on a space walk and the cost of sending humans to space will also be cut.

New Delhi: Indian Space Research Institute ( ISRO ) is working on new options and capabilities to promote space tourism. It is expected to become a billion dollar market in the coming few years, due to which ISRO also does not want to be left behind. With the new technology, the institute will be able to send ordinary citizens on a space walk and the cost of sending humans to space will also be cut.

Humans to be sent to Low-Earth Orbit

Science and Technology Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh said that the space agency is working on creating such capability in India itself, which will boost space tourism. With these, human space flight in Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) will be possible. The Union Minister has told that ISRO is currently working with 61 countries of the world on research related to different areas of space.

Low-Earth orbit is the part of space closest to the Earth’s surface, which is present at an altitude of about 160 kilometers above sea level. This is followed by median earth orbit, geosynchronous orbit and high-earth orbits.

Space tourism market is going to grow rapidly

The space tourism market has grown rapidly in the last few years and there is a lot of potential in it. Especially in the past, private aerospace companies in collaboration with government agencies have done such flights, in which ordinary citizens have been sent into space.

Talking about the current situation, Elon Musk’s company Space- X has the largest share in this market and its Dragon spacecraft is capable of taking ordinary people in zero gravity.

Jeff Bezos’s company Blue Origin is also working

Last year, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos was taken on a spacewalk by his company Blue Origin’s New Shepherd aircraft. Let us tell you, the New Shepherd aircraft is completely autonomous, that is, no pilot is needed to fly or control it. The craft can travel on a pre-determined route in a stipulated time and the experience of simulation done with the help of computer system is given to the passengers.

Space travel will become easier

Apart from ISRO, private companies like Blue Origin, Space-X and Virgin are trying to connect space with the normal world. Soon ordinary citizens will also be able to travel in space by taking tickets for such crafts. Blue Origin has also opened its ticket window and people can book tickets for its future tourist flights by visiting the company’s official website . However, the passengers are given training for some time.

Going into space becomes cheaper than before

Traveling to space has become easier and less expensive than before. Actually, the rockets that sent the craft into space had to be destroyed first, which cost the most. Elon Musk’s SpaceX and other companies can now successfully bring back the rockets and aircraft capsules used in the mission. ISRO is helping many countries in satellite launch, on the lines of which space tourism can be started at low cost.
