Microsoft -owned LinkedIn wants to give more importance to creators, due to which an audio feature has been made part of it. LinkedIn has come up with a live audio feature like the popular audio social platform Clubhouse in its app.
The company had launched live audio events in January this year, which has now been made available to all creators. Users using the platform in Creator Mode will get the benefit of the new audio feature.
Creators will be able to host live events
According to the report of Engadget , the new feature can be used by following the community guidelines of the social media platform.
These guidelines make it clear that the content should be reliable, secure and professional.
After getting the latest update, users using LinkedIn in Creator Mode will be able to host live audio events and connect with their followers. They will also be given the option to include more than one speaker in these events.
Only creators will be able to host events
The report states that hosting of events is currently limited to creators only and the rest of the users cannot start audio events.
However, all LinkedIn users will continue to have the option to participate in chats related to these events.
Like Clubhouse , creators on LinkedIn will be able to schedule their audio events in advance and share information about these events with the rest of their network.
India is the second largest market for LinkedIn after the US in terms of members . Hindi language support has also been included in it at the beginning of the year. Hindi is set to become the first local language in India to be found on LinkedIn.
Video based live events soon
LinkedIn has reported that creators have already started using the new Audio Events feature and it is getting good response from users.
