The Sensor Tower report has revealed that about 55 percent of the monthly active users of WhatsApp use this messaging platform on a daily basis.
In the first quarter of 2022, the number of ‘power users’ of WhatsApp increased.

WhatsApp has the most power users
In the first three months of the year 2022, the number of power users was the highest among the Monthly Active Users (MAUs) of WhatsApp.
In the year 2022, 16 percent increase has been seen in terms of power users as compared to this quarter last year.
Of the apps that Sensor Tower has studied, WhatsApp has the most power users.
Apart from this, this app has also gathered the maximum number of new users as compared to last year.
Telegram app users also increased
User engagement on both WhatsApp and Telegram has increased compared to before.
It has been revealed that the war between Ukraine and Russia was also responsible for this and during the tension, users took the help of these messaging apps.
Telegram reported a 15.5 percent increase in its monthly active userbase in the first quarter, from just nine percent in the same period last year.
According to Sensor Tower , India remains the largest Internet market for Telegram. About 22 percent of Telegram’s lifetime installs are done by Indian users. After India, the app has also been installed the most times in Russia and Indonesia.
Line messaging app engagement is also good
After WhatsApp, the LINE messaging app also registered 45 percent growth in the first quarter of 2022 with the engagement of the most monthly active users.
At the same time, in the year 2021, this figure was about 35 percent during this period.
About 16.4 percent of monthly active users of this messaging app use the app daily, which is an increase from 12 percent last year.
However, the number of users of Line app in India is not much.
Most downloaded whatsapp
While Meta-owned WhatsApp was the most downloaded in the first quarter, intelligence data from Sensor Tower shows that its competitors’ market has also grown in the last two years.
Currently, the number of users using meta apps is about 78 percent, and 22 percent of users use other apps.
At the same time, last year this figure related to users for non-meta apps was 14 percent.
Users have been demanding technical improvements
It has been told in the report that the highest demand coming in the review of apps like WhatsApp and Messenger is to bring technical improvements in these apps.
Of the 1,950 reviews studied, nearly 14 percent reported having trouble logging in.
At the same time, 11 percent of the reviews said that users are not able to send messages to each other.
The attitude of messaging apps regarding privacy has also changed in the last few years.
