It is believed that this could be the largest rough pink diamond ever found in the world. It is a ‘Type IIa’ diamond, one of the rarest and purest forms of natural stone. About 27 diamonds of 100 carats or more have now been found from the Lulo mine.

This rare Pink Diamond is the fifth largest diamond found from this mine. Let us tell you that two of the largest diamonds ever found in the world have been found from the Lulo mine in Angola. Diamond will be sold through auction

The Angolan government and Lucapa Diamond said in a statement that the diamond would be sold through an auction that would be held internationally. However, for auction, this diamond will need to be cut and polished, in which its linseed beauty and value come out in front. Sometimes in this process half the weight of the diamond is reduced.

Earlier this type of Pink Diamond auction has seen record bidding. In the year 2017, a 59.6-carat pink diamond in Hong Kong got a bid of $ 71.2 billion (about Rs 569 crore) in the auction. In such a situation, it is expected that the auction for this diamond can fetch up to Rs 1,000 crore, considering its value.
